Who We Are

QuarterBranch Technologies, Inc. was founded in 1998 to provide technical support and design services to the Radar Cross Section measurement community. In the ensuing years, we have expanded to include our own hardware and software products. Our flagship system, RadarMan™, is a high-speed, broadband pulsed-IF radar system covering 2-18 GHz in a single, 7-inch-high by 13-inch deep rack-mount chassis with most of the capabilities and features of much larger, much more expensive competing systems. RadarMan, available for purchase or lease, includes in the base system a full-featured offline radar data processing software package capable of processing data in real-time via a live link to the RadarMan data collection software.

QuarterBranch personnel have an average of over fifteen years in the RCS measurement industry, spanning multiple aspects of Radar Cross Section measurement sciences:

Our People

Tom Coombs, President: Tom has almost 25 years of experience in the RCS measurement field. As a system engineer, he understands all aspects of measurement radar systems, from design to operation. Tom started QuarterBranch Technologies in 1998.

Scott Dinant, Vice President: Scott has more than 15 years of experience in RCS measurement. He has extensive digital design and program management experience. After a lengthy tenure at Aeroflex Lintek, Scott joined us in 2001.

Eric Peters, Senior Engineer: Eric has more than 15 years of experience in RCS measurement. He specializes in RF subsystems and motion control. Eric joined us in 2004, also after many years at Aeroflex Lintek.

Tom Carney, Senior Engineer: Tom has nearly 10 years of experience in RCS measurement systems and several more as an RF designer in other fields. His most recent past experience was with System Planning Corporation. He joined us in 2007.

Melissa Coombs, Office Manager: Melissa graduated in 2006 from Virginia Tech and is currently studying to obtain CPA licensure at George Mason University.

Dave Patch, Rockfield Technologies, Inc.: Dave has over 20 years of experience in software development, including 11 years in the RCS industry. He is an independent consultant working with QuarterBranch on the software development.
